Man Shot, Robbed In Southwest Side Garage
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 60-year-old man was shot and robbed while in his garage on the Southwest Side on Thursday morning.
The man was in his garage in the 5700 block of South Whipple Street at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday when two boys in their early teens walked into the garage and demanded his wallet and other valuables, police said.
One of the boys shot the man in the leg and the teens fled the scene with his wallet.
The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
No one was in custody as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
