Three Wounded In Northwest Side Shootings

CHICAGO (STMW) - Two men and a teenage boy were wounded in two separate shootings Wednesday evening on the Northwest Side.
The 21-year-old man was walking in the 2100 block of North Hamlin Avenue when a pickup truck approached about 4:45 p.m. and shots were fired, police said.
The man said he heard four shots and realized he was struck, police said.
He was taken in serious condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and groin areas, police said.
Bout 6:40 p.m., a man and teenage boy were shot in the 2300 block of North Marmora Avenue, Dwyer said.
A gunman approached the 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man and asked, "What you about?" police said. He then produced a gun and shot the two.
The 17-year-old was shot in the right armpit and lower right leg and taken in "stable" condition to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. The 19-year-old man was shot in the left calf and taken in good condition to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, police said.
Grand Central Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody for either shooting.
