Man Shot Multiple Times In Austin
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man sustained at least four gunshot wounds early Monday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
The 26-year-old man was shot in both legs, the side and the shoulder about 2:15 a.m. in the 4600 block of West Madison Street, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
He was standing in an alley when he heard shots and felt pain, Greer said. He then fled on foot across the street to a gas station where he notified police.
The man was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Greer said.
No one was in custody as Area North detectives investigated.
