Man Shot, Killed In Southeast Side Backyard

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was found shot to death in a backyard on the city's Southeast Side Friday morning.
About 8:15 a.m., someone shot the man, who was in his 30s, at 7949 S. Manistee Ave., according to police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan. The victim was already dead when police arrived.
Calumet Area police Sgt. Stan Salabura said the man was found in a backyard. Police say officers were called to the scene after area residents heard gun shots.
Police News Affairs Officer Mirabelli said the victim had gang affiliation and was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet. It is not known why he was outside of his home.
No arrests had been made as of mid-morning Friday, Salabura said.
