Man Shot In Park Manor Robbery Attempt
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was critically wounded in a shooting during an attempted robbery Tuesday morning on the South Side.
The 23-year-old victim was in the 6800 block of South Prairie Avenue about 9:50 a.m. when he was shot by a male trying to rob him, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
The man was shot once in the back and taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Estrada said.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
