Man Shot In Rogers Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg early Monday in an attempted robbery on the North Side in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
The 35-year-old was in an alley about 1:50 a.m. in the 6900 block of North Sheridan Road when two men got out of a dark-colored vehicle and approached, demanding money, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
When the 35-year-old refused, one of the suspects shot him in the leg before the two returned to their vehicle and fled westbound on Lunt Avenue, Greer said.
He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in "stable" condition, police said.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
