Man Shot Dead In Gage Park
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was shot dead Friday night next door to the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood home where he lived.
The 31-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5800 block of South Fairfield Avenue about 10:35 p.m. when two males walked up and shot at him, police said. He was hit twice in the left armpit area and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died.
Ruben Colunga, 31, of the 5800 block of South Fairfield Ave., was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 11:27 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He was shot in the 5800 block of South Fairfield Ave.
No one is in custody and Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
