Man Shot Dead In Englewood
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are searching for two men who fatally shot a 42-year-old man in the head on an Englewood street Monday evening following an argument at a store.
At 6:35 p.m., the man was on the 1000 block of West 63rd Street when man he didn't know approached him, took out a gun and opened fire, striking him in the head, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said. The gunman then fled the scene.
Michael Robinson, 42, of the 6600 block of South Carpenter Street, was pronounced dead at 7:30 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to a spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Robinson apparently had a quarrel with two men before he was shot, police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said. The two men are described as being in their 20s, and are believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle.
No one was in custody Tuesday morning, Perez said.
