Man Shot Dead At Northwest Side Gas Station
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting overnight in the Northwest Side's Belmont-Cragin neighborhood.
The shooting happened just after 10:30 a.m. at Central and Diversey avenues. The body of Cesar Salgado, 34, was found in a sport-utility vehicle with gunshot wounds to the chest and neck.
Police say the victim as sitting in his car at a Citgo gas station, when a gunman walked up and opened fire.
Salgado was pronounced dead at 11:38 p.m. at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
No one was in custody in connection with the shooting as of midday Friday, and police have not determined a motive.
