Dolton Man Shot And Killed In South Loop
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Dolton man was shot to death while he sat in a car in the South Loop late Thursday night.
Andre Bunton, 37, was sitting in a car in the 200 block of East 16th Place about 11:25 p.m. when shots were fired and at least one bullet struck him in the chest, authorities said.
Bunton the then tried to drive away from the scene but lost control of the car, striking two parked vehicles, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
Bunton, of the 14300 block of Lincoln Avenue in Dolton, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he died one minute after midnight, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Police released few other details about the homicide.
No one was in custody as Area Central detectives investigated.
