Man Shot And Killed In Jeffrey Manor
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 23-year-old man was fatally shot during a fight over a bicycle Friday night in the South Side Jeffrey Manor neighborhood, police said.
Parrish Flournoy was riding a bicycle in the 2100 block of East 95th Street when an unidentified man approached him sometime before 6:09 p.m., according to authorities.
Flournoy and the man got into an argument over the bike, and the man eventually took the bike away from Flournoy and rode off, authorities said.
Flournoy followed the man, who then took out a gun and fired multiple times at Flournoy, authorities said. He suffered gunshot wounds to the arm, back and buttocks, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.
Paramedics took Flournoy, of the 7200 block of South Champlain Avenue, to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 9:08 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Police have made no arrests as Area South detectives continue to investigate.
