Man Shot And Killed In Auburn Gresham
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed Thursday night after he was shot in the shoulder in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.
Marcus Gaiter, 25, was sitting in a vehicle with another person in the 8600 block of South Morgan Street about 9:45 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
He was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle and suffered a single gunshot wound to the shoulder, authorities said.
A friend drove Gaiter, of the 800 block of West 86th Place, to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park. He was pronounced dead there at 10:33 p.m., authorities said.
Area South detectives are investigating.
