Man Seriously Wounded In Englewood Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was wounded in a shooting in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side early Saturday.

Shortly after 1 a.m., the 27-year-old was standing outside in the 5900 block of South Sangamon Street when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and opened fire, police said.The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition, said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.

No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
