Man Robs Bank In Bucktown
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man robbed a Bucktown bank Tuesday morning by handing over a note and implying he was armed.
About 10:17 a.m., the robber entered the Cole Taylor Bank at 1965 N. Milwaukee Ave. and handed a teller a note demanding money, according to Chicago police and the FBI.
The robber implied he had a weapon, police News Affairs Officer Jon Mirabelli said.
The suspect is described as a 35- to 40-year-old black man, standing 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-10 with short hair. He was wearing a brown and beige striped, long-sleeved shirt, Mirabelli said.
After the robbery, the man fled north with an undisclosed amount of cash.
