Man Robbed Near DePaul Campus
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was robbed Saturday night near the DePaul University campus in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
A 26-year-old man was walking with a 29-year-old woman in the 1000 block of West Webster Avenue at 10:10 p.m. when three males approached, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
One of the suspects pointed a 9mm gun in the man's stomach and demanded his belongings, Mirabelli said. He then rummaged through the victim's pockets and took his wallet and cell phone. The suspects then fled.
The first suspect is described as a black man with a light complexion, 5-feet-9, 175 pounds with dreadlocks, Mirabelli said. He was wearing a white short sleeve shirt and dark jeans.
The second suspect is described as black with a dark complexion, 6-feet, 150 pounds with a crew cut hairstyle, Mirabelli said. He was wearing dark jeans.
The third suspect was 20-to-25 years old and wearing a dark green long sleeve shirt, Mirabelli said.
No one is in custody and Area North detectives are investigating.
