Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Elmhurst
ELMHURST, Ill. (STMW) - While cleaning out his vehicle, a man was held at gunpoint in the west suburbs Tuesday night.
The man's vehicle was in a parking lot on the 800 block of North York Street when he saw two men walking quickly toward him about 10:45 p.m.. One of the men pulled out a small-caliber hand gun and told the man to give him his money.
The victim said he asked the stranger, "Are you serious?" The stranger then put the gun against the man's left temple.
The victim dropped to his knees and pulled out his wallet from his coat pocket. The robber told the man to give him his cash, his ATM card, cellular phone and keys.
The victim did what he was told, after which the robbers told him not to call the police or they would come back and kill him.
The victim saw the men get in a silver Mercury Grand Marquis parked in the southwestern section of the parking lot and leave.
He described the robber with the gun as a male in his early 20s, with a goatee and mustache. He was about 5-feet-7 and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The second robber was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, the victim said.
The police are investigating.
