Man Questioned In Lakeview Bank Robbery
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Authorities are questioning a person of interest in a bank robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon in the North Side Lake View neighborhood.
About 12:45 p.m., a man walked up to the TCF Bank branch inside the Jewel-Osco store at 3531 N. Broadway and handed a teller a note demanding cash, according to Chicago Police and the FBI.
He made off with an unspecified amount of cash but has since been captured, authorities said.
No charges had been filed as of early Thursday.
At least 113 bank robberies have been reported in the Chicago area so far this year, according to the FBI.
