Man Pulled From Water Near Mouth Of Chicago River
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man who fell into the water near the mouth of the Chicago River was rescued by police early Friday.
About 12:15 a.m., a 31-year-old man was heard screaming for help from the water near where the river meets Lake Michigan, said police News Affairs Office Amina Greer.
When officers arrived, they found the man holding onto a ladder that led down to the water in a docking area on the south side of the river, according to police at the scene.
Officers pulled the man from the water and he was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in "stable" condition, Greer said.
