Man Killed Lighting Fireworks
ADDISON, Ill. (STMW) -- A DuPage County man was killed after igniting fireworks in west suburban Addison Monday, police said.
Officers responded about 7 p.m. to the 2300 block of Windsor Court in Addison and found that a 47-year-old man had suffered a fatal injury from igniting fireworks, according to a release from Addison police.
The man, who lived in unincorporated DuPage County, was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said. His identity was not available early Wednesday.
Police could not immediately say whether anyone else was injured in the incident, or whether anyone was with the man when the fireworks ignited.
Addison police are investigating.
