Man Killed In South Suburban Shooting
HARVEY, Ill. (STMW) -- Investigators in Harvey were "pursuing solid leads" in connection to the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in the south suburb late Monday.
About 11:55 p.m., Harvey police responded to a shots fired call at 156th and Loomis streets, according to town spokeswoman Sandra Alvarado. When officers got to the scene they found a man who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, Alvarado said.
The victim, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Clint Stockard Jr., was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 12:56 a.m. Stockard lived in the 100 block of East 154th Street -- about a half-mile southwest of where he was shot.
Alvarado said that investigators were "pursing solid leads given by eyewitnesses." No additional information was available from police.
