Man Killed In Romeoville Crash
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (STMW) -- A man was killed in a traffic crash Monday morning in southwest suburban Romeoville.
The two-vehicle crash happened at Weber and Taylor roads in Romeoville about 5:15 a.m., according to a statement from Romeoville police.
A 2005 Dodge was traveling southbound on Weber Road when it hit a 2010 Mitsubishi, which was traveling east on Taylor Road and making a left turn onto Weber Road, police said.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, 41-year-old Romeoville resident Don Trasmonte, was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The 30-year-old Crest Hill resident driving the Dodge was detained for investigation by police, the statement said.
Romeoville police continue to investigate the crash.
