Man Killed In Lake Shore Drive Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man died early Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Lake Shore Drive south of McCormick Place, police said.
The man was driving a vehicle about 12:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 2600 block of South Lake Shore Drive when the car struck a curb and a pole, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The vehicle flipped and the male was pinned in, police said. He was dead on the scene.
He was identified as 28-year-old Jessie Corono of the 10300 block of South Avenue G, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.
All lanes were open as of 5 a.m., police said.
There was no indication drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
