Man Killed In Drive-By Shooting In Englewood
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 19-year-old man was shot to death early Thursday during a drive-by shooting in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.
He was walking through a gangway in the 6400 block of South Normal Avenue about 2:35 a.m., when shots were fired from a light-colored sedan, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
Robert Allen, of the 6400 block of South Normal Avenue, was struck by at least one bullet in the abdomen, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The 19-year-old was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he died at 3:22 a.m., authorities said.
Police said they have not yet established a motive for the slaying.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives were investigating.
