Police believe the pickup truck is the same one used in what appeared to be random drive-by shootings of hundreds of homes and businesses.
There were no shootings in the immediate Chicago area, but seven were reported in the Rockford area. There were also at least three more shootings in Wisconsin – in Tomah, Janesville and the Dane County town of Albion.
It the Albion shooting on April 20, Christine A. Hudson, 50, was injured when she was hit by a bullet in her home, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
Officials in Wisconsin believe all the gunshots came from one vehicle traveling on Interstate 90.
Bullets have been collected at some scenes and have been sent to a lab to see if they came from the same gun.
