Robinson was arrested on Dec. 8 in the 1300 block of West Lexington Street, after patrol officers saw a blue Dodge van with tinted windows parked with its light on and the engine running but with no visible occupants or driver, according to a police report.
The officers saw the van "shaking in a vigorous manner'' so officers approached it, and Robinson told officers he was sleeping when they asked what he was doing, according to the report.
Officers then saw a "terrified" 14-year-old girl under a blanket in the van, and she told officers Robinson was her uncle, according to the report.
But police later learned Robinson was not a relative but someone she had been communicating with online and by cell phone, the report said.
The girl was taken to University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago to be examined after she was fund.
Robinson is scheduled for arraignment on Jan. 18.
