Man In Car Shot, Critically Wounded On Northwest Side
CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are interviewing witnesses to a shooting that left a man critically wounded early Saturday on the Northwest Side.
At 3 a.m. a gunman approached the 25-year-old man who was inside a car and opened fire, striking him in the 2000 block o North Milwaukee Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan.
The victim was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition , Sullivan said. No one else was wounded.
As of 9:30 a.m police were interviewing witnesses, a Shakespeare District police lieutenant said.
Sullivan said no arrests have been made.
Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
