Man Imprisoned For Naperville Child Abduction, Abuse
CHICAGO (STMW) - A Naperville man has begun serving a one-year prison sentence for using candy to lure two pre-teenage girls into his condominium unit and licking one of them on the lips.
Jose P. Jimenez-Alejo was transferred late Tuesday from DuPage County Jail in Wheaton to the Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill, according to information posted on the Illinois Department of Corrections website.
Officials of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency have placed a hold on Jimenez-Alejo. He is an alien and likely to be deported upon completion of his prison term.
Jimenez-Alejo lived on the 1200 block of Whispering Hills Court in Naperville. Police listed his age at 25, although the IDOC website indicated he is 19.
He pleaded guilty Nov. 10 in DuPage County Circuit Court to charges of child abduction and criminal sexual abuse. Judge Robert G. Kleeman that day sentenced him to prison and assessed fines and legal costs that totaled $1,325, court records indicated.
A police spokesman said the incident occurred about 6:43 p.m. Aug. 14 inside Jimenez-Alejo's home. Officers who were sent to the scene met nearby with the mother of one of the girls.
Police learned the child and another girl had been lured inside Jimenez-Alejo's condominium unit. The girls reported Jimenez-Alejo initially called to them from inside a vehicle and persuaded them to come inside his home, police said.
Once there, the girls followed Jimenez-Alejo into a bedroom, police said. Each was given a chocolate bar, and Jimenez-Alejo soon after leaned in and licked the lips of one girl.
The children fled from the home and ran to the mother of the one he allegedly abused. Jimenez-Alejo was arrested a short time later.
