Man Held On $1 Million Bond For Shooting 2 Others
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An Englewood man was ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail Sunday for a South Side shooting that left one man paralyzed and another wounded.
Jermaine K. Roberts, 23, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery / discharge of a firearm for a January shooting in the 7300 block of South Racine Avenue, authorities said.
Roberts used a semi-automatic handgun to shoot an 18-year-old man in the left foot and a 20-year-old man in the back at 7:34 p.m. Jan. 18, authorities said. The man shot in the back was paralyzed from the waste down.
The victims identified Roberts in a photo spread, and police arrested him at 10:08 a.m. Friday when he showed up in court for an unrelated charge, according to court documents.
