Man Held In Deadly Stabbing Of Father In Hegewisch Home
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police had a man in custody Monday morning after he allegedly stabbed his own father to death in the Far Southeast Side's Hegewisch neighborhood.
Police say they found Nikolaus Douzopoulos, 71, dead on the scene of a stab wound when they arrived at a home in the 12900 block of South Manistee Avenue Sunday night.
Douzopoulous was arguing with his 31-year-old son in the home around 10 p.m., when the younger man allegedly stabbed his father several times in the torso and arms, police said.
A source said the son called police after the incident and told them he had stabbed his father.
He was taken into custody a short time later, and charges are pending, police say.
