Man Held By Police After 2 Others Are Stabbed In Chinatown
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was in police custody Friday morning, after two people were stabbed in a fight in a Chinatown apartment.
The fight happened around 10 p.m. Thursday in an apartment in the 2300 block of South Canal Street, police said.
The suspect, a 42-year-old man, stabbed a 47-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man after arguing with them in an apartment. The suspect was also wounded in the incident, police said.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with multiple stab wounds to the head and body, and was reported in serious condition.
The suspect was taken to Northwestern, where was under police guard with multiple stab wounds. The teen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, also with multiple stab wounds.
Both were also in serious condition.
Police could not immediately specify the relationship between the three people, or how the fight started.
No charges had been filed in the case as of the early-morning hours Friday.
