Man Found Stabbed To Death In Palatine
PALATINE, Ill. (CBS) -- Police were questioning a suspect Tuesday morning in the stabbing death of a 22-year-old man found outside an apartment complex in northwest suburban Palatine.
The man was found on the ground bleeding in the 1300 block of Ports O'Call Drive, after a 911 caller reported that he had been stabbed, police said.
Paramedics took the victim to Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights, where he later died, police said.
He was identified as Eduardo Guillen-Tellez, of the 1300 block of Baldwin Court in Palatine, and suffered multiple stab wounds, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Guillen-Tellez was pronounced dead at 8:35 p.m. Monday, according to the Medical Examiner's office.
A suspect was in police custody Tuesday morning, but no charges had been filed, police said.
Circumstances surrounding the stabbing were not immediately known, but officials are continuing to interview witnesses and gather information early Tuesday.
