Man Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Millennium Park
CHICAGO (STMW) - A vehicle fatally struck a 50-year-old man early Saturday in Millennium Park.
The man was crossing the street when a vehicle struck him about 1:15 a.m. near East Monroe Street and North Lake Shore Drive, police said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office said the 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at 1:27 a.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His identity was not being released pending family notification.

The 45-year-old man driving the vehicle stayed on the scene and was in custody for suspicion of driving under the influence, police said. No charges have been filed as of Saturday morning.
An autopsy is scheduled for later Saturday, the medical examiner's office said.
The police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
