Man Fatally Shot Steps From Home
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was fatally shot Saturday just steps away from his Little Village home.
A 19-year-old man was walking in the 2300 block of South Albany Avenue at 8 a.m. when an assailant approached and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The victim -- identified as Jonathan Gonzales, 19, of the 2300 block of S. Albany Ave .-- was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
No one is in custody. Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
