Man Fatally Shot In SW Side Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was fatally shot in the Gage Park neighborhood early Sunday on the Southwest Side.
The man was on a sidewalk in the 5700 block of South Washtenaw Avenue when somebody inside a passing vehicle fired shots about 12:15 a.m., police said.
The man was shot in the armpit, police said.
The victim, identified as David Corral, 18, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Wentworth Area detectives are conducting a homicide investigation, but nobody is in custody early Sunday.
