Man Dies After Shot On Street
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man died early Saturday after he was found lying in the street in the West Englewood neighborhood following a shooting.
About 2 a.m., the man, who had been shot in the arm and leg, was found in the street on the 5700 block of South Winchester Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
He man was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he was pronounced dead at 2:56 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He remained unidentified as of about 6 a.m. Saturday. He was believed to be in his 20s, according to the medical examiner's office.
No one was in custody early Saturday.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
