Man Dies After School Bus Crash On Tri-State Tollway
CHICAGO (STMW) - A 30-year-old Alsip man died early Sunday morning after crashing into a school bus on the Tri-State Tollway in the northwest suburbs Saturday afternoon.
David Ramirez was traveling southbound on the Tri-State (I-294) in Rosemont at 4:57 p.m. when he crashed into the rear of a school bus, said State Police Tollway District Sgt. R. Story.
Ramirez was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he died at 2 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
There were no children on the school bus and no other injuries were reported, Story said. Ramirez was alone in the car.
The crash is under investigation.
