Man Dies After Apparent Seizure In Police Lockup
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 56-year-old man died in a police lockup on Sunday after apparently suffering a seizure.
Jozef Tarasiuk was being held on suspicion of DUI at the Jefferson Park District police station at 5151 N. Milwaukee Av., when he suffered an apparent seizure at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
He was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:46 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
It's unclear whether Tarasiuk, of 3746 N. Pittsburgh Av., had a medical history of seizures. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
