Man Dead After Shooting At South Shore Bus Stop
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man has died after being shot at a bus stop during the morning rush Tuesday in the South Shore neighborhood.
The man, of an unspecified age, was shot at 7:43 a.m. Tuesday at a bus stop at 2442 E. 75th St., just east of Yates Boulevard, police said.
The man was put in an ambulance headed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, but died on the way, police said.
Following the shooting, No. 75 74th-75th buses were temporarily rerouted in both directions via 75th Street, South Shore Drive, 76th Street, Yates Boulevard, and back to 75th Street, according to a Chicago Transit Authority customer alert.
