Man Critically Wounded In West Pullman Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 35-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot a handful of times late Monday night.
The shooting in the West Pullman neighborhood is believed to be gang-related, said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.
Police said the man was in the 100 block of East 117th Place about 11:25 p.m. when he was shot – three times in the chest, and at least twice more in the backside and arm.
Few details about the shooting were available, but police said a man approached the 35-year-old on foot and opened fire.
The man was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives launched an investigation early Tuesday.
