Police: Man Killed In South Side Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was killed in a Hamilton Park neighborhood shooting Tuesday afternoon on the South Side.
Police said the 30-year-old man was shot in the abdomen at 4:02 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Perry Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien, citing preliminary information.
Paramedics initially took the man to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition, but he was later pronounced dead, according to police and fire officials.
Area South detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody Tuesday evening.
