Man Critically Wounded In Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was critically wounded in a Saturday night shooting in the Woodlawn neighborhood.
The 20-year-old man was walking in the 6900 block of South Calumet Avenue about 8:40 p.m. when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire, striking him in the neck, said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.
He was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
No one is in custody and Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
