Man Critically Injured In Fall From Golf Cart In McHenry County
WONDER LAKE, Ill. (CBS) -- A man was critically injured early Monday when he fell out of a golf cart in the far northwest suburbs near Wonder Lake.
The McHenry County Sheriff's office reported a man was driving a 1987 Golfmobile EZ-GO golf cart east on Evergreen Drive when he went off the roadway to the left, for unknown reasons. When he drove the golf cart back onto the roadway, the front seat passenger fell out of the golf cart on the right side.
The injured man, James Clem of Wonder Lake, was taken by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was listed in critical condition, the release said.
The driver – Bradlee McDow, 27, of Wonder Lake – and two female passengers – Kathryn Lingl, 30, of Jackson, Wis.; and Kristina Chovanec, 25, of Wonder Lake – were not injured. There were no seatbelts in the golf cart.
McHenry County Sheriff's police continue their investigation.
