Man Charged With Shooting Ex And Current Girlfriend
MARKHAM (CBS) -- A man who was already being held on $3 million bond for shooting his girlfriend was given an additional $2 million bond on Tuesday for shooting his ex-girlfriend on Friday.
Terrell Randall, 32, was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly shooting a woman in Oak Forest and another woman in Markham, according to Oak Forest Police Chief Greg Anderson.
Randall was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery for the Oak Forest shooting and ordered held on $3 million bond at a hearing in Bridgeview on Monday, prosecutors said.
On Tuesday, Randall was ordered held on $2 million bond on another aggravated battery charge for the shooting in Markham.
Court records indicated the Markham victim was Randall's ex-girlfriend, while the woman he allegedly shot in Oak Forest was in a dating relationship with him.
The shootings began about 1:30 a.m. outside the Terrace Motel at 15353 Cicero Ave. in Oak Forest. A 28-year-old woman was shot twice in the torso and once in the buttocks, Anderson said. Randall and the woman were staying at the motel together, and he had checked in the day before.
The woman was conscious when police found her and she identified Randall as the shooter, police said. She was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition.
Police said the other woman was shot about 4:30 a.m. in Markham and that victim also identified Randall.
Police said Randall has four previous convictions for weapons offenses and five drug-related convictions. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, he was released on parole May 16 after serving two years of a four-year sentence.
Randall will appear for a preliminary hearing Sept. 19 at the Bridgeview courthouse and on Sept. 20 for the Markham case.
