Man Charged With Robbing Woman In Ford Heights
HAZEL CREST, Ill. (CBS) -- Cook County Sheriff's Police say they have arrested an armed robber in Hazel Crest.
The sheriff's office says he struck at night last Friday at a gas station in Ford Heights.
Just as a 23-year-old woman was about the close her car door, 21-year-old Montez Fulwiley allegedly pointed a handgun at her, then jammed it into her ribcage and demanded her phone.
The sheriff's office says Fulwiley took the woman's purse, too, then drove off.
On Sunday, sheriff's police arrested him in Hazel Crest, on charges of armed robbery and vehicular invasion.
His bond has been set at $300,000.
