Man Charged With Robbing Woman, 65, At North/Clybourn Stop
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man with a lengthy rap sheet is scheduled to appear in court Monday, on charges of robbing a woman at the North/Clybourn Red Line stop over the weekend.
As WBBM Newsradio's Jackie Swike reports, police say it was a horizontal-striped shirt that gave away the identity of Daryl Russell, 31, who is charged with robbing a 65-year-old woman at the CTA subway stop just after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Russell allegedly approached the woman and implied he had a gun, and told her he would shoot her if she did not give him any money. She gave up all the $25 she had on her, police said.
The robber then leaped onto the train tracks and fled south into the tunnel.
Responding officers from the Near North District arrived on the scene to investigate, and during the course of their investigation, a man, later identified as Daryl Russell, was observed by alert officers who had noticed him at the location where the robbery had been committed.
Russell, of the 2100 block of West Roosevelt Road in Broadview, was immediately taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and one count of criminal trespass to Chicago Transit Authority property, police said.
