Man Charged With Robbing Waukegan Bank
(STMW) -- A man has been charged with robbing a bank Monday afternoon in north suburban Waukegan that was also robbed exactly one week before.
Donald Reddick, 48, was arrested Monday and charged with one federal count of bank robbery, according to FBI spokeswoman Diane Carbonara.
He is accused of robbing the Fifth Third Bank branch at 800 S. Waukegan Rd. at 1:22 p.m. Monday, according to the FBI.
Reddick, of the 2400 block of Dugdale Road in Waukegan, appeared in federal court Tuesday morning before Judge Geraldine Brown, according to Carbonara. He waived a detention hearing and was ordered held in custody.
The same Waukegan bank was robbed last Monday, Aug. 3 at 2:55 p.m., according to the FBI. During that robbery, the suspect did not display a weapon and got away with an undetermined amount of cash, authorities said.
Reddick has not been charged with that robbery. Carbonara said the case remains under investigation.
