Man Charged With Fatal Stabbing In Logan Square
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man earlier this week in a Logan Square neighborhood backyard on the Northwest Side.
Ruben Quispe-Trujillo, 24, faces a count of first-degree murder for the attack that happened about 3 a.m. Monday outside a home in the 1900 block of North Rockwell Street, according to Chicago Police.
He and Adrian Campos were drinking when they got into an argument and Quispe-Trujillo pulled out a large knife, stabbing Campos in the chest, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Campos was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:11 a.m. Both men were residents of the block where the stabbing happened, authorities said.
Quispe-Trujillo ran away from the scene but was arrested nearby, police said.
He is scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.
