Man Charged With Death Of Woman Found Stabbed In Her Little Village Home
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man has been charged Saturday with murder after a woman was discovered stabbed to death in her Little Village neighborhood home on the Southwest Side on Thursday morning.
Aaron Mejia, 19, of the 2200 block of South Sacramento Avenue, was charged with one felony count of first degree murder, police said.
Mejia became involved in a verbal altercation with a woman at his home Thursday morning and fatally stabbed her, police said.
Rosa Maria Perez, 27, of the 2200 block of South Sacramento Avenue, was found unresponsive in her home with multiple stab wounds about 10 a.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
She was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:15 a.m., the medical examiner's office said.
Mejia is due Monday in bond court.
