Man Charged With Child Sex Assaults From 10 Years Ago

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (STMW) - After three victims of sexual assaults from 10 years ago -- which occurred when they were minors -- came forth to police this fall a Rolling Meadows man was charged with the crimes.
The three complainants, now adults, reported to police on October 28, of this year that they has been the victims of sexual assaults that occurred approximately 10 years ago in Rolling Meadows. The three were minors at the time of the reported sexual assaults, and knew the offender, a release from Rolling Meadows police said.
The assaults took place between September of 1999 and September of 2001 on the 2100 block of Martin Lane in Rolling Meadows, police said.
The Rolling Meadows Police Investigations Unit investigated the complaint and learned that on three different occasions Ronald Loconti, Jr., 32, who lives on the 2100 block of Martin Ln., allegedly sexually assaulted a minor victim who was between the ages of 11 and 13. The facts of this case resulted in a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault, a Class X felony.
Additionally, on at least one occasion Loconti is alleged to have sexually abused additional victims between the ages of 6 and 10, on separate occasions, the release said. This led to two charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony.
Loconti appeared at a hearing at the Rolling Meadows courthouse, where bond was set at $150,000. His next court date is scheduled for January 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Room 108 of the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
