Man Charged With 2012 Logan Square Murder

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man has been charged with murder in connection with an August 2012 shooting in Logan Square that left one man dead and wounded another, authorities said.

Arcadio Davila, 24, of the 5100 block of North Lovejoy Ave., was charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of Ricky Pike, who was killed Aug. 3 in the 2100 block of North St. Louis Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.

Davila was also charged with attempted murder for shooting another man Pike was with.

The victims, both 24 at the time, were sitting in a parked vehicle when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, police said at the time. Several shots were fired into the victims' vehicle, striking Pike in the head and the passenger in both hands.

Davila is due in bond court Wednesday, Gaines said.
